DESCRIPTION
Madognana is a small village overlooking the town of Porretta Terme. It is traced from 1205 a.C. within an act of submission to the City of Bologna by the consuls of Succida (today’s Borgo Capanne) and other towns.
The chapel located in the main square of the village was frescoed by the Hungarian painter Adam Kisléghi-Nagy.
Many easy treks start from the village leading to some very peculiar places in the area. Just few steps from Madognana, the Monte della Croce viewpoint offers a suggestive view of Porretta Terme and the whole valley.
