DESCRIPTION
The experience of the Mellini family began in 1860 with Giuseppe Mellini (1846/1927), through Giacinto Mellini senior (1879/1945), Gerardo Mellini (1907/1987) and Giacinto Mellini junior (1937/2011).
The restaurant (formerly called “Pensione Mellini” and then “Albergo Mellini”) has been suspended from the end of the 80s until today; with the refurbishment of the building the activity is rebirth under the name “Antica Locanda Mellini – from 1860” by the fifth generation of the Mellini family.
“Holding the roots not to loose the know how “, this is Fabrizio Mellini’s mind set to reopen what once was the heart of the entire town of Granaglione.
The historic tavern offers traditional recipes (revisited and modernized) to let the youngers know the flavors of the past througout a brand new food experience.
The use of local certified products together with those of the Italian excellence, are part of the seasonal tasting menus which, paired with wines selected by the sommelier, will offer tasting itineraries typical of these mountains.
