Discovering foliage in the chestnut groves of the Apennines

 

In the month of the Festival of Trees, celebrated for the first time in Europe in 1889 right in the Apennines of Bologna, we will walk with an easy hike, suitable for young and old, in the beautiful chestnut woods of Alto Reno Terme, immersed in the autumn scenery of the forest.

Included in the price is a small tasting aperitif of a bottled type of Beltaine chestnut beer, snack or snack with sweet and savory artisanal product made from chestnut flour, all handcrafted by the chestnut cooperative!

Hiking shoes, poles and a backpack with at least 1lt of water, appropriate clothing for cold temperatures, wind and rain jacket, snacks or bars.

Fee

The fee includes Educational excursion of about an hour in the Matildic chestnut grove managed by the Park. Included are the various areas of the chestnut grove, fruit and wood, traditional, monumental chestnut grove and drying room.
The visit is completed with the Xylotheque (wood museum) with 30 essences on display.
Small chestnut beer aperitif, soft drinks for children and chestnut flour products.
